Hormonal Health

What is hormonal health?

Hormones are the body’s chemical messengers. They influence almost every aspect of health, including energy, metabolism, sleep, mood, skin, muscle, bone health, libido and cognitive function.

Hormonal changes occur naturally throughout life, but they don’t affect everyone in the same way. Many people live with hormonal imbalances for years without realising that their symptoms may be connected.

Why does it happen?

Hormonal health changes throughout life and can be influenced by many factors. Hormonal changes affect both women and men, although they often present differently.

  • Ageing
  • Perimenopause and menopause
  • Low testosterone
  • Thyroid disorders
  • Chronic stress
  • Nutrition
  • Sleep
  • Metabolic health
  • Genetics
  • Certain medications

Why understanding the cause matters

Hormonal symptoms are rarely explained by one hormone alone.

Low energy, poor sleep, weight gain, low libido, changes in mood, brain fog or changes in skin quality may all have hormonal influences—but they may also reflect nutritional deficiencies, thyroid dysfunction, chronic stress, metabolic health or other underlying factors.

Understanding what is driving your symptoms allows us to recommend the most appropriate investigations and build a strategy that is personalised to you.

How do we assess it?

Every assessment begins with understanding. Our goal is to understand not only your hormone levels, but how they relate to your symptoms, overall health and long-term wellbeing.

  • Comprehensive medical consultation
  • Advanced blood biomarkers
  • Hormonal assessment
  • Body composition analysis
  • Lifestyle and nutritional review
  • Medical and family history

Our approach

Hormonal health looks different for everyone.

For women, this may include supporting hormonal health throughout perimenopause and menopause, including hormone replacement therapy where appropriate. Testosterone may also form part of HRT for some women following careful assessment.

For men, assessment may include identifying and managing low testosterone and other hormonal changes that influence energy, muscle mass, libido and overall wellbeing.

Every recommendation is evidence-based, carefully considered and tailored to help you feel and function at your best over the long term.
